Squad Auditions
Auditions are open for our Studio One competition team. This is your chance to come along and get a feel for our teaching staff and studios. We select the Studio Elite Squad from these auditions.
After auditions you will receive an information pack with everything you need to know about being part of our competition teams.
Considerations
Our 2023 competition team has the following criteria:
- Ability to learn choreography quickly and retain it
- Availability to consistently attend a variety of classes at Studio One
- Demonstrate strong dedication and commitment in all classes
Age Cut Off
Birthday as of 1 January 2023
- Under 6 Age Group: 6yrs or younger
- Under 8 Age Group: 8yrs or younger
- Under 10 Age Group: 10yrs or younger
- Under 12 Age Group: 12yrs or younger
- Senior Group: 13 and over
Requirements
Ballet and technique:
- Under 8 = 1 x ballet and 1 x technique per week
- Under 10 = 2 x ballet and 1 x technique per week
- Under 12 = 2 x ballet and 1 x technique per week
- Seniors = 2x ballet and 1 x technique per week
What to expect
We understand auditions can be daunting, which is why at Studio One we aim to create a professional but fun and relaxed day for students to feel comoforatble and perform to their best ability.
Our highly trained teachers create short sections of choreography to best understand where each student is at with their dance development. Through this process we are able to best place students into a program that caters to their development needs.
